This week will be fun. On Wednesday I headline at the ‘Funny Bone’ comedy club here in Des Moines, IA. The show is at 7:30 and I’ll definitely have some new stuff to talk about. Saturday I will be using my emcee skills to help raise funds for Forey Jacobson at ‘Forey Fest’ here in town. If you are not up to speed on his predicament and the event, check-out ‘Friends of Forey’ on facebook. You can also read my prior post on this blog titled ‘Opposite Encounters’. I think everybody is looking forward to finally being able to do something for Forey and his family. I had a great run yesterday with key members of Des Moines’ own ‘Australian Rules Football’ squad. ‘The Des Moines Roosters’ are working to stay in shape this winter for the season that starts this spring. I first met a couple guys from the team at last years’ ‘Dam to Dam’. They ran fast that day and I decided to follow the upcoming season in this blog. We had some beers at ‘Mullets’ after our run yesterday and it’s clear to see that these dudes have fun and are passionate about the sport. Much more to say on the ‘Roosters’ as I’ve decided to practice with them on Friday. So!!! I hope to see you at the ‘Funny Bone’ on Wednesday and ‘Forey Fest’ on Saturday!!! Cheers!!!
